Mary markley hall otherwise known as my place of residence is quite the building. Many athlethes uppperclassman who already have their own group of friends. Markley hall is a coeducational residence hall with an h shaped floor plan consisting of four wings. Community isn t as tight as other dorms such as markley or bursley which are predominately freshman.

Floor plans vary from residence hall to residence hall. Markley is co ed by hall with the exception of one hall which is co ed by room. Markley also has its own dining hall which isn t bad but my friend loved their make your own pizza station. Each floor has two bathrooms.

The building has the following features. Markley makes a sideways h and i think butler is the back right when you walk in from the front. As pancakes mentioned mojo is pretty close and it has one of the better dining halls on campus imo. Home to about 1180 students mary markley is close to the central campus recreation building and nichols arboretum.

The markley hideway is sinfully delicious for snacks used to get their onion rings whenever i visited my friend. Halls are named in honor of significant women and men. Mary markley hall dorm. Mott children s hospital and von voigtlander women s hospital could make the residence hall site an ideal.

It is the largest dormitory on campus housing 1200 students all freshmen. Each with acommunity sink area and individual use private lockable rooms with shower and toilet. Scott house is an seven story residence hall with resident rooms on floors three through seven. Named in honor of mary butler markley a distinguished faculty widow who had been active in alumnae.
